To commemorate the heroism and sacrifice of all, North and South, who fought in the American Civil War, 1861-1865.
To promote education about history of the Civil War, with an emphasis on preserving and disseminating knowledge of Civil War firearms, artillery, equipment, uniforms and period dress.
The encouragement and education and the organized shooting of Civil War firearms and artillery, with a view toward a better knowledge on the part of the members and the general public on the safe handling and the sensible and legal use of such firearms.
To perpetuate the historical art of muzzle-loading and the customs of the Civil War period.
It shall be our further objective and purpose to forward the development of those characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play and self-reliance, which are the essentials of good sportsmanship.
